Description:
Our Downtown Vancouver client within the real estate industry sector is looking for an organized Property Management Accountant to join their team.
As the Property Management Accountant, you will be responsible for the following:
Manage full-cycle accounting with full-cycle Accounts Payable and full-cycle Accounts Receivable for the mix-used commercial and residential property.
Perform monthly bank reconciliations and reconcile accounts receivable and accounts payable sub-ledgers to the general ledger.
Process journal entries, close month-end/year-end and prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for assigned property.
Prepare CAM calculations and recoveries, and assist with bank financing, investment and insurance renewals.
Work with the leadership team to prepare budget, forecast and cashflow projections.
Liaise with tenants and external stakeholders as needed.
Support the Executive Vice President with operational duties such as maintaining tenant records and lease agreements, as well as processing ad hoc reports
The ideal Property Management Accountant has a post secondary education in accounting or Diploma in Accounting, and comes with 1-3 years of full-cycle accounting work experience ideally from real estate and property management industry sector.
