Reporting to the Proposals and Communication Manager, the Proposal Coordinator plays an integral support role in the preparation of client proposals, and will support the Pre-Construction team with securing new and continued business.
Responsibilities:
- Supports the development and submission of RFQ and RFP responses that are focused and innovative, meet client requirements and reflect Jacob Bros brand guidelines;
- Administration of proposal documents, schedules, kick-offs, reviews, document control, electronic and print submittals, and response data;
- Maintains up to date library of resumes, project profiles, presentations and photos while following brand standards;
- Boilerplate and resume development and maintenance;
- Project data sheet development and maintenance;
- Photo library organization;
- Develops and maintains best practices and templates;
- Conducts research to produce accurate and comprehensive proposal responses and messaging;
- Works closely with subject matter experts, identifying benefits and value-add content for proposal submissions;
- Writes, proofreads, edits and format proposal content;
Develops compliant, accurate, and compelling response narratives and graphics
Qualifications:
Post-secondary training in construction or engineering strongly preferred;
- One (1)+ year proven work experience as a Project Coordinator or Co-Op experience in a general contracting business preferred;
- Technical writing skills a strong asset;
- Basic construction and project management knowledge;
- Experience with technical report preparation an asset;
- Excellent writing skills including editing, grammar, style, spelling punctuation;
- Editing and proofreading skills for accuracy, quality and messaging tailored to target audience;
- Proficiency in MS Office and Sharepoint;
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud applications an asset.
