SUMMARY:

The Proposal Cost / Price Analyst 2 supports proposal preparation, proposal cost volume development, cost estimation, and total evaluated price optimization with proposal teams, while ensuring compliance to FAR/TINA/CAS guidelines. Develops pricing strategies to meet customers’ needs while providing a profit for the organization. Determines core business costs of service in support of pricing/tariff development. Designs, implements and maintains pricing infrastructures. Evaluates effectiveness of pricing strategies and modifies pricing structures as needed. Provides reporting and documentation of pricing structures and serves as the point-of-contact for pricing inquiries from internal sales department, but not customers.

Major Position Responsibilities:

  • Develops pricing models for organizational goods and services
  • Collects and analyzes data relating to current and predicted market conditions, cost overhead, or competition pricing in order to recommend pricing strategies or standardizing pricing guidelines
  • Balances project needs with expected product demand to maximize revenue, market share, or profit margin
  • Models pricing adjustments to predict the impact of pricing changes on organizational performance
  • May provide customized pricing to the sales team

Basic Qualifications:

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associate’s Degree
  • Or equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience
  • Five (5) to seven (7) years of experience in a relevant function

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance or Accounting
  • MBA highly desired
  • Government Contracting experience in Program, Finance and\or Lead Pricing roles
  • Accounting/cost estimating work experience related to program finance/accounting and/or pricing of government contracts
  • Proficient in ProPricer
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel to include working with multiple workbooks, databases, statistics, and formulas
  • Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS)
  • Knowledge of financial management principles, program planning, Earned Value (EV) reporting for government contracts, budgeting and practices

  • Strong computer skills, administrative data control, scheduling and team interface
  • Strong written, digital and verbal communication skills in both an individual and team environment

  • Proficiency with MS Office 365 tools
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 25% of time
  • Professional demeanor and presentation skills for frequent meetings, presentations

    Pay Range (USD): This pay range is a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this role. It takes into account the wide range of factors considered in making compensation decisions; including but not limited to skill sets, experience, training, and education: $74,500.00 - $138,450.00 Additional Compensation: Hired applicant may be eligible to participate in the Company’s Gain Sharing Program. Benefits: Employees are eligible for medical, dental, vision, short and long-term disability, and basic life insurance as well as pre-tax spending accounts. Employees are also able to enroll in the company’s 401k plan and are eligible for the Non-Contributory Retirement Contribution.
