Project Kuiper is an initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites that will provide low-latency, high-speed broadband connectivity to unserved and under-served communities around the world. The Propulsion Group is seeking a Lab Engineer to support the production line for flight hardware deliverables.
The Propulsion Lab Engineer will work within the Kuiper Propulsion Manufacturing (MFG) team in the development, operation, and optimization of electric propulsion MFG infrastructure. This person will support the development of MFG capabilities for a variety of different propulsion subsystems, including feed systems, thrusters, cathodes, PCBA’s, tanks, as well as the integrated propulsion system.
The Lab Engineer will support MFG infrastructure development and execution processes as they transition MFG capabilities towards achieving higher production rates. They will develop and own processes which impact the daily production MFG workflows and diagnose and solve MFG issues in order to ensure production operations proceed efficiently.
