SEGULA TECHNOLOGIES is assisting a major automotive OEM in hiring a Propulsion System Program Manager to join our growing team in Windsor, ON. PRS Manager will leads cross functional team and guarantees all deliverables and targets identified in the approved initiative for project development (cost, time, quality and performance).

THIS POSITION REQUIRES FREQUENT TRAVEL TO THE USA; CANDIDATES MUST HOLD CANADIAN CITIZENSHIP OR HAVE THE ABILITY TO WORK IN THE USA.

Job Description

  • Manages all the aspects of the assigned program to assure cost, time, quality and performance achievement
  • Coordinates cross functional Platform team involved in program targets achievement
  • Responsible to ensure Program budget achievement identifying all possible efficiencies vs. approved business case
  • Ensures procedures, best practices and methodologies application according to required standards and leads program documentation creation, monitoring and updating in line with Global Powertrain (Propulsion Systems) Development Process
  • Responsible to ensure product readiness to support approved launches while defining appropriate timing milestones for the given project and leading the change review meetings
  • Coordinates and support engineering teams to deliver prototype & production batches that meet vehicle / program requirements
  • Co-leads proactive Risk Management tasks with QM and Platform team (i.e LUR), tracks/leads risk status update
  • Supports the technical reviews/evaluations with respect to program targets/milestones
  • Leads the responses to investigate/action bulletins related to product/process changes
  • Coordination and implementation of Value Optimization and Quality Improvement activities

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering
  • Minimum of 10 years total relevant experience
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in product development engineering with at least THREE 3 years of program management experience with an Automotive OEM or Tier 1 supplier
  • Strong time cross functional team management skills along with superior written and oral skills
  • Legally eligible to visit manufacturing plant in Mexico

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Program management or engineering experience with engine development or engine components/system development
  • Advanced degree in Engineering (MSME) or Business Administration (MBA) or Program Management Professional (PMP) certification or other training equivalent
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate to and prepare presentations for Director/VP level leadership
