To develop junior doctor rosters, supervision of credentialing of junior medical officers, and implementing their training, education, and research opportunities, in consultation with and under the supervision of the Head of Department.
- MBBS or equivalent, currently registered or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
- Successful completion of the examination process for RANZCOG and currently having completed core training.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a complex clinical environment, excellent clinical skills and judgment together with teamwork, time management and problem solving skills in the clinical settings and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with the administrative requirements and day to day running of a tertiary Women’s Health Service and its interaction with networked units.
- Experience and willingness to teach junior medical staff/medical students and midwives, and a commitment to quality improvement, patient safety and risk management. Preparedness and ability to work independently in a supervised environment.
- Prepared to participate in after hours and on-call work as required.
- Ability to move between services and geographical locations to deliver patient care.
- Knowledge of relevant NSW Health policy
Responsibilities:
To work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to provide high quality, safe and effective care to women presenting to the department for the management of obstetric and gynaecological conditions.
To develop advanced skills in managing these women in a complex clinical environment under the supervision of O&G Senior Consultants.
