To participate in continuing medical education (CME) and quality assurance (QA) programs.

  • MBBS or equivalent, currently registered or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
  • Preferably holds MRANZCOG or qualification recognised as equivalent by RANZCOG.
  • Demonstrated excellent clinical skills, judgment and expertise, along with demonstrated teamwork, time management and problem solving skills in the clinical setting.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated commitment to quality improvement, patient safety and risk management and an interest and willingness to teach Junior Medical Staff and research.
  • Ultrasound experience in Obstetrics and Gynaecology - Ultrasound qualifications e.g. Diploma in Diagnostic Ultrasound or working towards this eg DDU Part 1.
  • Experience with obstetric patients with medical disorders in a tertiary hospital outpatient department.
  • Demonstrated commitment to Maternal Fetal Medicin

Responsibilities:

To train in maternal fetal medicine, consistent with CMFM RANZCOG training requirements.
To work as part of a Multi-Disciplinary Team in the management of complex pregnancies.
To participate in the teaching and training of undergraduate and postgraduate medical staff.
Actively participate in research opportunities (clinical or bench-top).
