QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master’s degree with graduate coursework in Psychology.
- 1 year experience.LICENSURE, CERTIFICATIONS, AND CLEARANCES:
- Act 31 Child Abuse Reporting with renewal
- Act 33 with renewal
- Act 34 with renewal
- Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal
Responsibilities:
- Cooperate in research projects as compatible with clinical schedule and patient needs, with supervision as needed.
- Practice in a way that recognizes and respects diverse populations.
- Provide diagnostic developmental and behavioral assessment of children with a variety of developmental, behavioral and mental health concerns with supervision, as needed and per PA State Board of Psychology.
- Conduct focused diagnostic interviews to elucidate the nature of the presenting problem as well as relevant developmental, psychological, behavioral and social contributions to the problem, under supervision as needed and per PA State Board of Psychology.
- Prepare comprehensive, clearly written analysis/reports, which include accurate historical information, observations, assessment summaries, case formulation, treatment objectives, and recommendations and can be used by parents and physicians in order to access appropriate services.
- Provide input concerning appropriate tests and evaluation tools utilized by the division.
- Administer, score, and interpret appropriate standardized tests and behavior rating scales defined by department protocol and needs of the case; integrates and synthesizes information quickly and efficiently in order to provide feedback and recommendations to the family, generally at the time of the initial evaluation.
- Screen for the presence of safety and priority issues and takes appropriate action when identified.
- Participate in educational efforts of the unit; allows medical students, pediatric residents, and others to observe cases.
