Description:

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Psychologist with a passion for working with people who have chronic and enduring psychosis and be part of the leadership team within the East Sussex Rehab Pathway service both in community and inpatient, providing peer support and part of team decision making.
As a Senior Practitioner Psychologist working within East Sussex Rehabilitation Pathway including Community and Amberstone Hospital you will work closely with the MDT to ensure a trauma-informed, therapeutic culture is promoted and embedded with collaborative service user engagement. You will work closely with the 8b Principal Psychologist to provide leadership around the implementation of evidence-based interventions.
The role includes providing individual and group evidence-based interventions for people with severe and enduring mental health difficulties. Formulation skills will be an important part of the role as you lead on team formulation which is valued part of MDT working and care planning.
You would be joining a cohesive network of Psychology staff all passionate about improving choice and outcomes for people with complex psychosis presentations. We are looking for someone with a strong commitment to team working and service user involvement. You will receive high standards of supervision and will be well supported. This job will require direct face to face working with services. The post holder will provide a high quality, specialist applied psychological therapy service to patients and their families or carers, where there are complex presentations. They will have strong skills in assessment, intervention and formulation; and experience of delivering evidence based psychological therapy and be informed by attachment-based models. The post holder will take a clinical leadership role and will have supervisory experience. They will contribute and support psychological practice within the wider team through consultation, supervision, formulation and training.
