Description:

IMPORTANT REQUIREMENTS:

  • Candidates should hold a recognised University degree (Masters) in European affairs, international relations, communications (or similar).
  • Candidates must be located in Brussels for the whole duration of the traineeship.
  • Candidates must already hold the right to work in Belgium.

Responsibilities:

Public Affairs

  • Researching relevant advocacy topics and mapping decision-makers
  • Following relevant EU legislative files/discussions, updating the team, drafting policy briefings
  • Drafting presentations and speeches for ETC advocacy interventions
  • Support in organising and hosting ETC advocacy meetings and events
  • Helping to draft statements, position papers, official letters

Corporate communications

  • Day-to-day management of B2B social media channels
  • Help in preparing replies to external media enquiries and checking media monitoring reports
  • Support in drafting and editing press releases
  • Updating ETC’s website (drafting and posting articles, editing text, adding photos, etc.)
