Primary purpose: Develops and implements validation and evaluation activities for Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) value-based purchasing and quality-reporting programs. Leverages analytical skills and public-health knowledge to provide actionable insights for public health.

A successful candidate will:

  • Provide subject-matter expertise for CMS value-based purchasing and quality-reporting programs.
  • Collaborate with the client as part of a multidisciplinary team to plan, develop, and implement project workplan; maintain documentation of processes and procedures.
  • Validate numerous value-based purchasing and quality-reporting program measures.
  • Coordinate analyses of healthcare-quality measure data in SAS, including assessing reliability and validity and supporting ongoing maintenance and updates of the quality-measure instrument.
  • Interpret, summarize, and present findings to the client and relevant stakeholders.
  • Perform data-quality testing.
  • Exhibit attention to detail when developing materials, reviewing documentation, troubleshooting issues, and reporting results.

Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in Public Health other Health Science field
  • At least seven (7) years of relevant work experience
  • Experience with CMS healthcare-quality measure and/or value-based purchasing programs
  • Experience using SAS to import and manipulate data/datasets and conduct analyses to validate data
  • Ability to effectively communicate complex data findings to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with government contracting, especially with CMS
