REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in public relations, communications, journalism, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in public relations, media relations, or corporate communications, preferably in a similar industry or organization.
  • Strong writing, editing, and communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling messages and stories for various audiences and platforms.
  • Excellent media relations skills, with a track record of securing positive media coverage and building relationships with journalists and influencers.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategic public relations plans, campaigns, and initiatives to promote our organization’s mission, vision, and objectives.
  • Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with media outlets, journalists, bloggers, influencers, and other stakeholders to secure media coverage and publicity for our organization.
  • Write, edit, and distribute press releases, media advisories, and other communications materials to announce news, events, and initiatives to the media and public.
  • Coordinate press conferences, interviews, and media events, and serve as a spokesperson for the organization when necessary.
  • Monitor media coverage and social media channels for mentions of our organization, industry trends, and issues affecting our reputation.
  • Respond to media inquiries, interview requests, and public inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Manage crisis communications and issues management, including preparing statements, managing media inquiries, and coordinating responses with key stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with marketing, communications, and other departments to ensure consistency in messaging and branding across all communications channels.
  • Plan and execute corporate events, sponsorships, and community engagement activities to enhance our organization’s visibility and reputation.
  • Track and measure the effectiveness of public relations efforts using metrics such as media impressions, sentiment analysis, and engagement metrics.
