DESCRIPTION:

This role primarily focuses on developing, implementing and evaluating Viktoria & Woods’ PR strategies end-to-end across media, press, influencers, sponsorships and brand partners; as well as managing external V&W events.

  • Build strong relationships with all external agencies (AU, US & CN), talent management, stylists, media outlets, journalists & partners.
  • Develop, implement and evaluate V&W media strategies, including digital, social and traditional media channels, to better promote the V&W brand to broaden our customer appeal, leading to increased sales growth.
  • Manage all day-to-day media and press activities such as brand and product releases. This includes developing copy, sourcing images and working with journalists to ensure the V&W brand is promoted actively and positively. Ensure both proactive and reactive media engagement strategies are in place to manage any success and/or issues/crisis.
  • Manage both the paid influencer and contra influence programs. Develop and review influencer targets, budgets, negotiations and contracts. Constantly review influencer lists and contracts to ensure alignment with the V&W brand and goals. Follow influencers on social media to monitor performance and return on investment (ROI).
  • Project manage end-to-end all external V&W events (e.g. 20 year Campaign, new store openings etc.). This includes (but not limited to: ) developing guest lists, setting and managing budgets, negotiating with and managing suppliers, designing run sheets and managing all post-event processes and evaluation of events.
  • Personally host one-on-one appointments with stylists, press members and influencers for each new collection. This may include managing stakeholders across melbourne and Sydney.
  • Support all marketing & PR activities for David Jones. Working collaboratively with the Head of Marketing (HoM) and eCommerce Coordinator to set marketing plans inline with business objectives.
  • Manage the execution on brand partnerships and sponsorships, including in-store customer VIP events, event partnerships and activations.
  • Sample and send out management - liaising with internal departments such as Retail, Planning and Merchandising and in-store to manage logistics and overall management across local and international distribution.
  • Regularly monitor, analyse and report on all PR (media and influencer) activities to gain insights into PR performance. Where issues are identified, collaborate with team members to quickly make adjustments where possible, and/or create new strategies to optimise ROI in the future.
  • Stay updated on social media trends and the influencer landscape to enhance brand presence.
  • Work closely with Australian and International external PR agencies to ensure alignment with goals and within budget.
  • Create and write press releases for collection launches, and media interview briefing packs for HoM and CEO.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES:

Exceptional communication skills both written and verbal
Strong creativity and passion for styling
Exceptional stakeholder management and customer management skills essential (both internal teams and external agencies).
Ability to manage conflicting priorities effectively and efficiently.
Ability to work autonomously within short timeframes, in a fast paced and cyclical environment
Exceptional planning, prioritisation and time management skills.
Bachelor degree in Communications / Marketing / Public Relations or similar is essential
3+ years work experience in a similar Public Relations or Media/Influencer type role; and/or extensive experience working in a co-ordinator role; preferably in the premium fashion industry.
Strong experience working with multiple stakeholders - media, journalists, influencers, agencies etc.
Experience in styling and selling the product through influencing key stakeholders is essentia
