REQUIREMENTS:

• Fitter and Machinist Trade Certification.
• Good Communication skills.
• Capacity to interpret engineering drawings.
• Good knowledge of tools and accessories.
• Basic computer skills. (including mobile devices).
• Comply with company OH&S procedures and policies.
• Be available to work a reasonable amount of overtime if required to complete work schedule.

PREFERRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:

• Excellent communication skills.
• LF / DG License holders are highly regarded.
• Previous experience as fitter/assembler in an engineering workshop working with pumps.
• Experience with Mechanical Seals.

ROLE SUMMARY:

Flowserve Australia Pty Ltd is seeking a qualified and experienced Pump Fitter / Machinist. The person will be responsible for dismantling, inspection, condition reporting and repair of pumps.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Disassemble, inspect & report condition of pumps and pump components.
• Repair / recondition various pump components.
• Clean and repair mechanical seal components.
• Machining of various components as required.
• Assemble + test pumps and rotating equipment to specifications.
• Assemble + test mechanical seal assemblies to specifications.
• Achieve appropriate time frames for work.
