Description:

PURCHASE LEDGER CLERK – SCUNTHORPE – UP TO £25,000

Chase & Holland are excited to working in partnership with a distribution business based in Scunthorpe who are looking for an experienced driven Purchase Ledger Clerk to bolster their finance team. Reporting into the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining the Purchase Ledger.

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience working within a similar role
  • A good level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to build relationships with other stakeholders within the business
  • Strong IT skills including Excel
  • Well organised with the ability to prioritise own workload

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure purchase ledgers of all trading entities are up to date with invoices processed accurately and against appropriate purchase orders
  • Supplier statement reconciliations
  • Monthly credit and fuel card analysis
  • Liaising with suppliers
  • Creating new supplier accounts
  • Weekly supplier payment runs
  • Maintaining and reviewing purchase orders on a timely basis
  • Analysis and review of monthly expense requests
  • Support the Management Accountant in driving efficiencies and process change
