Description:

An Accounting Clerk position is available through Robert Half, whose duties will be matching invoices to purchase orders/ vouchers, data entry, and assisting with Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R). This is a long-term contract / temporary to hire position based in the Randallstown, Maryland area. Do you enjoy being part of a team-oriented environment? Your responsibilities

  • Work with Accounts Payable: vendor invoices and disbursement filing, A/P invoice matching & filing
  • Contribute to Accounts Receivable: help with collection of past due balance, process daily invoices/credit, and apply cash receipt
  • Order documents that require knowledge in determining proper classification of accounting codes and expenditure codes
  • Patch up discrepancies by checking all possible sources of disagreement, reconstructing probable actions, and recognizing the effect on other accounts; prepare correction documents as required
  • Compose statements and reports that require utilization of a variety of sources
  • Companywide accounting: help with G/L account reconciliation and month-end closing, other ad hoc projects
  • Transmit financial information to journals and ledgers
  • Support purchasing experience required
  • Adeptness in Customer Quotes
  • Order entry experience highly desired
  • Foundational knowledge in Buying Processes
  • Microsoft Excel experience desired
  • Deep understanding of Purchasing Activities
  • Ability to enter data into various electronic systems while maintaining the integrity and accuracy of the data
  • Spreadsheet and ERP system experience preferred
  • AA or BS/BA in Accounting or related field preferred
  • Ability to multitask effectively
  • 2+ years of relevant experience
