EDUCATION:

  • Minimum requirement is a Diploma in Purchasing Management .
  • BCOM/ Degree in Procurement /Logistics/Supply Chain Management would be advantageous.
  • CIPS/SAPICS qualification a requirement
  • Project Management qualification an advantage
  • Experience in Manufacturing, Automotive, Industrial industry an advantage
  • Experience in tender management a requirement

Responsibilities:

JOB PURPOSE

Manage the RFQ/RFP process for the business. Support the Site Procurement Manager in conducting local and international tenders in an effective, transparent and professional manner according to Bridgestone’s procurement policy and procedures. Ensure that quality products are purchased at a competitive price and delivered on time to minimize any delays in production.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Tender Management.
  • Draft RFQ/RFP documents and issue tenders to the market
  • Manage the end to end tender process.
  • Ensure alignment with Bridgestone procurement policy and procedures.
  • Savings Implementation.
  • Deliver on the savings plan and track on results
  • Manage the RFQ/RFP to ensure savings target is met
  • Understand and Manage TCO
  • Understanding of Incoterms, Exchange Rate, Forward Cover
  • Negotiate and manage supplier Payment terms
  • Supplier Relationship Management.
  • Manage Pricing negotiations and Price Locks with suppliers according topolicy and procedures
  • Manage Supplier lead times and performance according to policy and procedures
  • Develop supplier KPIs with stakeholders and cross functional teams
  • Ensure supplier performs according to KPIs and expectations
  • Supplier Performance Management.
  • Coordinate and ensure monthly meetings with key suppliers are taking place
  • Manage and Report back on supplier performance on a monthly basis
  • Stakeholder Management.
  • Understanding of Stakeholder requirements and ensure effective delivery and turnaround time
  • Effective communication with Stakeholders
  • Manage effective cross functional teams throughout the sourcing process
  • Contracts Management.
  • Ensure suppliers have contracts/SLAs in place following sourcing activities
  • Ensure Contracts are tracked and reviewed as required
  • Manage the contracts register and update all stakeholders
  • Ensure effective and measurable KPIs are included in contracts
