Job Qualifications:

  • Excellent computer skills including MS office, minimum of intermediate level in Excel, outlook and word.
  • Minimum 2 years of related experience
  • Proven experience as a purchasing agent or relevant role
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A strong analytical mindset and outstanding organizational skills
  • Work in a team environment
  • Own Tools/Equipment: Steel-toed safety boots
  • Fast-paced environment, Work under pressure, Tight deadlines, Repetitive tasks, Attention to detail
  • Experience with ERP syste

Responsibilities:

  • Verify purchase requisitions; clarify unclear items
  • Obtain price quotations from catalogues and suppliers
  • Source non-inventory items from suppliers
  • Process requests from other departments
  • Order materials for upcoming production jobs
  • Review and verify Bill of Materials from Design team for all new jobs, identify stock items, confirm ‘quantity on hand’ with Parts Department, order remaining items
  • Prepare purchase orders by verifying specifications, price and availability
  • Monitoring and expediting orders
  • Verify receipts and packing slips
  • Manage relationships with vendors to maintain quality of goods, timely delivery and compliance to terms of contracts
  • Keep updated records
