We are currently looking for a permanent postion of Purchaser Packaging and Consumables for our location in Blieskastel, Obernai or Porcia.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE

• Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Business Administration or Supply Chain Management.
• More than five years’ experience in an adequate function closely interacting with vendors and/or suppliers.
• Proven track record in development and implementation of global procurement strategies, supplier evaluation, and market intelligence.
• Good understanding of production processes and technologies of assigned categories. Ability to understand value streams, cost drivers, and how to break down cost structures as well as identify bundling/optimization opportunities within the categories.
• Proficiency in MS Office Excel and PowerPoint.
• Able to negotiate in English. German and/or Italian language skills are a plus.
• SAP/SAP Ariba knowledge is a plus.

• Based on a deep understanding of the company vision and deriving global sourcing mission, you work closely with the Category Manager Packaging and Consumables.
• Manage an annual purchasing budget for a dedicated portfolio.
• Contribute to portfolio strategy definition and implement it in your responsibility sphere, thus providing a competitive advantage throughout sourcing and leveraging local & European supply markets.
• Immediately respond to unforeseen supply failures, working with suppliers to avoid supply chain interruptions.
• Support the development of market intelligence for defined categories and perform supplier evaluations by applying best practice methodologies.
• Active involvement in developing and optimizing the Supplier Panel, including continuous assessments of any risks derived from containing suppliers and/or related markets.
• Analyze, develop, and implement best practice sourcing techniques to the assigned category portfolio, and compare and analyze aforementioned techniques with best-in-class companies.
• Negotiate and apply supply agreements with suppliers based on the company’s framework contracts.
• Manage relationships with various internal stakeholders (business units, projects, etc.) and participate in cross-functional teams working on sourcing projects and continuous improvement.
• Track KPIs and report activities to the hierarchy.
• Organize monitoring of products and market trends.
