Description:

SUMMARY

Reporting to Manager, Supply Chain, the Purchasing Agent will support the existing department roles with expediting, logistics and purchasing material and supplies for Enerflex manufacturing and parts inventory. This would be an ideal opportunity for someone who is looking to build a career in procurement and for someone who has achieved certification in supply chain and looking for an entry point into the workforce. This role will allow the successful candidate to grow their career by building their knowledge and growth within a fast paced, collaborative teamwork environment.
We seek a candidate who has a core foundation of integrity and is willing and able to use commitment and creativity to drive our organization towards success. This position is based out of Enerflex’s Southeast Calgary office.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 1-2 years of experience in customer service and purchasing-related roles is preferred. High school education or completion of a 2-year technical training program is considered an asset.
  • Theoretical knowledge gained through technical training, working knowledge of Excel at Intermediate level (vlookup, pivot table, simple formulas).
  • Applies technical and analytical skills to resolve basic work issues or challenges and refers complex issues to supervisor.
  • Receives direct supervision, responds to routine queries.
  • Works independently to complete recurring/routine assignments and follows defined standards and processes.
  • Reviews unfamiliar situations with more senior personnel to identify alternative solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Central purchasing for service stock requirements across 8 branches.
  • Process and complete new material/CADD number requests in SAP for Service (MDG) and Retrofit (IMACS) needs.
  • Expedite orders for procured materials to ensure timely delivery.
  • Coordinate returns to Vendors as required.
  • Complete customs documentation for cross-border shipments as required.
  • Occasionally assist in booking accommodations for Retrofit field production.
  • Occasionally assist in obtaining permits for Retrofit field production in BC/SASK.
  • Resolve discrepancies in goods receipt or invoice related orders.
  • Assist in the preparation of work instruction documentation.
  • Organize and maintain documentation to SharePoint.
  • Provide administrative support for any other related tasks as assigned.
