OVERVIEW:
A Purchasing Administrative Assistant plays a critical role in supporting the procurement and purchasing functions within an organization. They are responsible for assisting with purchasing activities, maintaining vendor relationships, managing purchase orders, and ensuring efficient procurement processes. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:Purchase Order Management:
Assist in the creation, processing, and tracking of purchase orders using the company’s procurement software or ERP system.
Ensure accuracy and completeness of purchase orders, including item descriptions, quantities, pricing, and delivery details.
Monitor purchase order status, follow up on outstanding orders, and communicate updates to relevant stakeholders.
