Description:

We are looking for a temporary Purchasing Assistant to join our team in the Charlotte metro area for about a six month assignment. Smith Douglas Homes is proud of our family type work environment.

POSITION SUMMARY:

In this role, you will provide administrative support to the Trade Relations Manager and the Production department.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Education:

  • High School diploma

Experience:

  • 2+ years office administrative experience.
  • Experience in homebuilding industry preferred.

Computer Skills:

  • Microsoft Office

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the administrative aspects of Variance Purchase Order’s (VPO’s) and Purchase Orders (PO’s)
  • Maintain productive relationships with Construction staff and Trade Partners.
  • Maintain the work schedule and process schedule delays
  • Generate Plan Change Requests
  • Manage job-specific vendor reassignments
  • Enter monthly and quarterly pricing in bid files
  • Run the monthly insurance report and upload all new COI
  • Process subcontractor invoices.
  • Place orders for utilities
  • Review estimates with new communities
