Description:
We are offering a role in the higher education industry, based in Tuskegee, Alabama, United States. The function of the role is a Purchasing Coordinator. This role involves entering purchase orders into the system, filing, and providing customer service via email and over the phone. This role will require liaising with different departments within the university.
Responsibilities:
- Enter and process purchase orders in the system
- Manage filing systems for efficient retrieval and storage of documents
- Provide high-quality customer service through email and phone communications
- Liaise with various departments within the university to ensure smooth operations
- Utilize Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suites for data entry and management
- Maintain digital files for easy access and organization
- Apply purchasing experience to ensure efficient procurement processes
- Use customer service skills to address inquiries and resolve issues
- Apply prior office experience to manage administrative tasks effectively
- Handle purchase orders, using relevant software for processing and tracking.
- Must possess excellent knowledge of Purchase Orders
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suites
- Strong customer service skills are required
- Ability to manage and organize Digital Files effectively
- Must have previous experience in a similar role within the Higher Education industry
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Must be detail-oriented and have strong organizational skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Must have the ability to multitask effectively.
