Description:

Robert Half is currently working with a client looking to hire a Purchasing Coordinator. The purchasing coordinator will research vendors, products, and services and negotiate contracts for the best price and value. Responsibilities of the purchasing coordinator include but are not limited to:

  • Keep records of purchased products up to date
  • Examine purchased products upon delivery and note any issues
  • Conduct research on potential products, vendors, and services, and comparing price and quality for the best deal
  • Maintain inventory and refill stock as necessary
  • Engage with new vendors and products at events, shows, and exhibitions
  • Work with delivery and warehouse teams to ensure goods are received on time
  • Perform cost analyses and write reports on purchases made
  • Engage with staff and other stakeholders at meetings
  • Meet with vendors and clients to negotiate contract
  • Excellent written/verbal communication and organizational skills
  • Associate’s degree in Business Administration or related field preferred
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Strong analytical capabilities and discernment
  • Exceptional organizational skills
