JOB REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications:
- Post-secondary education is preferred or related industry experience
- Eight (8) to Ten(10) years of purchasing management experience
- Previous experience as a buyer of components for agricultural equipment manufacturing or other similar large mobile equipment is a requirement
- Technical background in the area of reading and understanding mechanical blueprints
- Broad commercial and supply chain experience in procurement
- Ability to identify root causes and to solve problems for both the short and long term
- Strong leadership skills. Experience in developing and mentoring team members
- Ability to step in to assist the team and to provide direction
- Ability to lead complex negotiations
- Must be comfortable presenting to groups and or upper management
- Valid driver’s license and passport and the ability to travel as required

Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop existing buying team
- Step in to assist buyers and to provide direction and mentorship
- Consider broad commercial and non-commercial factors in negotiations
- Interact well with both internal stakeholders and outside vendors
- Achieve negotiation outcomes that are win-win results
- Anticipate potential obstacles and develop contingency plans to overcome them
- Consider the organization’s priorities when making decisions or analyzing the costs and benefits of various alternative solution
