Based at the heart of Enniskeane, Co. Cork, you will be at the forefront of our client’s head office, driving excellence in procurement within the manufacturing and engineering sectors. With a minimum of 5 years’ experience, you’ll champion the procurement endeavors, ensuring optimal outcomes in material sourcing, delivery management, and logistics contracts.

Responsibilities:

  • Pioneering Process Enhancement: Continuously evaluate and enhance our purchasing processes for maximum efficiency and efficacy.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop annual plans and budgets rooted in a well-defined buying strategy.
  • Supplier and Haulier Collaboration: Forge robust relationships with suppliers and hauliers to mitigate risks and enhance performance.
  • Supplier Relationship Management: Cultivate a comprehensive process to nurture supplier relations, supporting all facets of our business.
  • Cost Optimization: Skillfully negotiate purchase costs and oversee cost reduction initiatives.
  • Material Innovation: Collaborate with the management team to seamlessly integrate new materials into our operations.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to all compliance requirements.
  • Performance Measurement: Lead measurement and review processes for existing and prospective suppliers.
  • Seamless Communication: Effectively liaise with store managers and suppliers to coordinate shipments and deliveries.
  • Precision in Documentation: Meticulously review purchase orders to ensure accuracy in specifications and quantities.
  • Collaborative Cohesion: Work closely with purchasing personnel across the Group to foster synergy and collaboration.

Requirements:

  • Academic Excellence: Hold a relevant degree complemented by 5 years+ manufacturing/Industrial experience.
  • Strategic Vision: Demonstrate a commercial mindset with a proven ability to influence sourcing decisions.
