Description:
The Supply Chain Director at this manufacturing giant is looking to attract into the team a hands-on purchasing professional who will ensure that raw material spend and purchasing processes meet business needs as they continue to grow.
Taking control of a £70m spend, the key focus of this role is to ensure suppliers are proactively managed.
Responsibilities as Purchasing Manager will be to: -
- Coordinate volume purchase agreement negotiations in primary areas of responsibility.
- Coordinate the development & execution of volume purchase agreements.
- Ensure group & supplier contract adherence (with support from central commercial/legal team).
- Negotiate component & product pricing to achieve cost saving targets.
- Coordinate negotiation strategies and maintain contact with key supplier personnel at all times.
- Maintain current knowledge of market trends, market conditions & recommends changes in supply chain strategies & tactics based on such knowledge.
- Manage the Supply Chain through any NPI process in conjunction with the Programme Management team.
The successful Purchasing Manager will: -
- Have gained their supply chain experience within a regulated manufacturing environmen
- Have excellent IT skills.
- Be a confident negotiator.
- Be looking to utilise current experience to make a difference to a growing business.
On offer: -
- A salary to £75,000
- Car allowance £6,000
