REQUIREMENTS:

  • Degree/Diploma in Purchasing Management or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in construction industry
  • Proficient in MS Office and Excel
  • Resourceful, problem-solver and good communication skills
  • Good interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with people at all levels
  • Able to work independently and a good team player

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for entire sourcing process (local and overseas purchases)
  • Perform Daily Operational including direct purchasing matters and co-ordinate shipping documentations (cargo permit)
  • Monitoring of products inventory level, replenishment and internal fulfillment
  • Issuing Purchase Order
  • Liaising with Suppliers on delivery status
  • Liaising with Finance Dept regards to suppliers’ invoice and payment issues
  • Maintain cost of product to ensure profitability
  • Forecasting stock supply
  • Make decision on allocation or rationing during supply shortage
  • Maintain accurate records of requisition and cost data
  • Assist with evaluation of Suppliers’ performance based on quality standards, delivery time and best prices
  • Ensuring that all purchasing activities with suppliers are carried out in accordance with the organization’s purchasing guidelines, procedures, forecasted budget and ethical conduct.
  • Maintain stocks record in system & trace stocks when discrepancies are reported.
  • Prepare and present stocks & inventory record / report.
  • Assists departments in initiating requisitions and orders.
  • Build and maintain good relationship with current and new vendors.Ad hoc assignment as per management request
