Description:

PURCHASING MANAGER

Responsibilities:

  • Define and implement team objectives aligning with the corporate procurement strategy. Ensure compliance with objectives and policies while continuously improving organizational and individual performance metrics.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, commitment, and transparent communication within project teams.
  • Implement and communicate department metrics, ensuring understanding among subordinates and stakeholders. Influence peers, cross-functional processes, subordinates, and stakeholders to drive measurable improvements.
  • Monitor on-time delivery to customers and supplier performance metrics, including OTD, Lead Time, Cost, RTV, and Supplier Capacity.
  • Expedite materials and manage escalations with suppliers. Coordinate information with internal stakeholders and drive timely issue resolution. Oversee an extensive network of outsourced service suppliers.
  • Perform opportunity analysis to identify and execute projects that deliver efficiency gains, cost savings, and inventory reductions.
  • Collaborate in New Product releases by managing purchasing, item and quote master settings, and expediting materials.
  • Maintain accurate procurement items and quote master MRP settings and supplier delivery information within the ERP systems.
  • Prepare management status reports on metrics, projects, and programs.
  • Foster a culture of transparent communication, early issue visibility, and urgency for corrective action within project teams.
  • Emphasize root cause understanding and continuous improvement.

Requirements:

  • Min Bachelor’s degree in Business or Engineering.
  • Min 6 years of relevant experience with managing direct reports experince
  • Experience across multiple operational disciplines in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of contract manufacturing environments.
  • Proven record of managing and driving continuous process improvement.
  • Experience with tier one ERP & PLM systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Agile).
  • Comprehensive knowledge of purchasing, supplier selection, cost analysis, and negotiation.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
