Description:
Purchasing Officer with Pronto Experience - Immediate Start
This hugely successful mining services and construction company has a new role for a Purchasing Officer with experience in Pronto to join their small Supply Chain Team.
Duties:
- Identify, evaluate, and select potential suppliers.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key vendors to ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods and services.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand procurement needs and develop strategic procurement plans.
- Stay informed about market trends, industry regulations, and supplier capabilities to inform decision-making.
- Conduct regular cost analysis and benchmarking to identify opportunities for cost reduction.
- Identify and mitigate potential risks related to procurement activities.
- Maintain accurate and organised procurement records, including contracts, purchase orders, and supplier information.
- Generate regular reports on procurement activities, cost savings, and vendor performance.
Skills:
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Familiarity with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Proficient in procurement software (Pronto) and Microsoft Office Suite.
Good knowledge of ERP systems (Pronto) is required. The client is looking for someone to start at short notice on a contract basis, but the role will become permanent for the right person.
Salary is $90,000 - $110,000
