Key Responsibilities

  • Provide efficient and effective services to stakeholders in regards to the raising, management and maintenance of all purchase orders and requisition orders for the organisation.
  • Onboard Vendors and monitor their contractual arrangements
  • Investigate alternate suppliers and pricing to ensure continuity of supply
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure that products are available when required
  • Maintain accurate purchasing records and provide robust reporting of procurement activities and the cost savings delivered by the procurement team
  • Purchasing inline within the companies social procurement objectives

Selection Criteria

  • Tertiary qualifications in Procurement or Supply Chain desirable
  • Experience in a purchasing, logistics or supply chain role is required
  • Familiar with ERP systems and excellent administrative skills, Oracle JD Edwards experience advantageous
  • Strong awareness of internal and external customer needs
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills that lead to positive outcomes
  • Demonstrate resilience and enthusiasm to learn new skills in a supportive fast-paced environment
  • Experience in a startup environment is highly desirable
