Key Responsibilities
- Provide efficient and effective services to stakeholders in regards to the raising, management and maintenance of all purchase orders and requisition orders for the organisation.
- Onboard Vendors and monitor their contractual arrangements
- Investigate alternate suppliers and pricing to ensure continuity of supply
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure that products are available when required
- Maintain accurate purchasing records and provide robust reporting of procurement activities and the cost savings delivered by the procurement team
- Purchasing inline within the companies social procurement objectives
Selection Criteria
- Tertiary qualifications in Procurement or Supply Chain desirable
- Experience in a purchasing, logistics or supply chain role is required
- Familiar with ERP systems and excellent administrative skills, Oracle JD Edwards experience advantageous
- Strong awareness of internal and external customer needs
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills that lead to positive outcomes
- Demonstrate resilience and enthusiasm to learn new skills in a supportive fast-paced environment
- Experience in a startup environment is highly desirable
