Description:
Our client, a pioneering health supplement manufacturer, is on the hunt for a passionate and committed Purchasing Officer. The successful candidate will be instrumental in orchestrating seamless purchasing activities, significantly contributing to the creation of top-tier health supplements.
What you’ll do:
You will craft and execute effective purchasing strategies that align with business objectives. Your superb negotiation skills will enable you to secure favourable terms with suppliers. You will also review existing contracts with suppliers and foster positive supplier relationships ensuring prompt delivery of products and adherence to procurement regulations. Collaborating closely with other departments, you will understand their product needs and specifications.
- Take charge of all purchasing activities within the organisation
- Craft and execute effective purchasing strategies
- Negotiate with suppliers to secure favourable terms
- Review existing contracts with suppliers and foster positive supplier relationships
- Ensure prompt delivery of products and adherence to procurement regulations
- Collaborate with other departments to understand their product needs and specifications.
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for this Dynamic Purchasing Officer role brings demonstrated experience in a similar role along with solid knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques. A sound understanding of market dynamics and solid business judgement are essential for success in this role. Your ability to negotiate effectively and maintain networking relationships will be highly valued. Comfortable working with figures, you have a knack for financial analysis. Proficiency in MS Office Suite, databases, and purchasing software is also required.
- Demonstrated experience as a Purchasing Officer or similar role, ideally within the supplement/pharmaceutical manufacturing industry sector
- Solid knowledge of sourcing and purchasing techniques specifically within a 3rd party manufacturing/OEM environment
- The role is full time and requires working in the office 5 days a week
- This position is only available to NZ residents with full working permission.
