Reporting to the Development Manager based in Melbourne, we are looking for a Project Developer based in Melbourne.

Responsibilities:

The Project Developer will lead the development of a number of PV and ES projects from greenfield to construction.

  • Coordinate with and guide internal departments through the development stages to ensure the fulfilment of all legal requirements and full optimization of project design.
  • Manage planning and environmental processes to obtain the approvals required for the construction and operation of PV and ES projects.
  • Oversight across the various development processes including identifying key risks to project timelines and managing budget and resource
  • Manage stakeholder management (especially the local community, First Nations groups and government authorities), in a way that is respectful, effective and aligned with the business’s values.
  • In coordination with the Engineering department, progress each project’s interconnection process to secure grid connection approvals in a timely and cost-effective manner.
  • Oversee the commercial review and negotiation of development-related agreements, including consultancy agreements and connection agreements. Provide technical input into EPC and O&M agreements and risk allocation frameworks between these parties.
  • Coordinate with the Land Acquisition Manager on the negotiation and management of land and relevant landlords and stakeholders.
  • Support commercial departments in respect of project reporting and analysis.
  • Support the Construction and Asset management teams in respect of land and permit management.
  • With the Development Manager, coordinate development projects’ progress through internal investment approvals, including preparing and presenting project updates and internal papers for investment approvals.
