The PX Generalist supports the daily operations of the People Experience (PX) function, championing the team’s programs and initiatives. The PX Generalist has both operational and strategic responsibilities, helping PX plan and administer important functions, such as Employee Recognition, Holistic Wellbeing (including benefits), DEIB (RISE), Employee Relations, and HRIS support. The PX Generalist acts as a consultant, acting as a connector across PX and the business.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in HR, with a focus on benefits, wellbeing, employee relations, and DEI.
  • Strong knowledge of HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • SHRM-CP or PHR certification preferred.

Responsibilities:

  • Partnership: Be a trusted partner to the PX Business Partner and other PX Pods (TA & TS), providing proactive support and acting as a connector of all things PX. Maintain a focus on staying informed on industry trends that impact PX and Goodway and bring insights back to the team to make recommendations for our programs (new, enhancement, sunset).
  • Benefits Strategy & Oversight: Lead the strategic development and oversight of benefits programs, focusing on the conceptual and planning aspects rather than day-to-day administration. Direct efforts to benchmark and evaluate the competitiveness of current benefits against industry leaders and trends, ensuring alignment with best practices. Act as the main liaison with vendor partners and third-party administrators who handle the administrative details, allowing you to concentrate on the strategic evolution of benefits offerings.
  • Wellbeing: Develop and implement a comprehensive wellbeing strategy aligned with Goodway’s five pillars of holistic wellbeing. This includes educating and providing ongoing support to both new and established employees about the full range of benefits, policies (such as MyTime), resources, and tools designed to enhance their wellbeing, with a particular focus on integrating the principles of Goodway’s holistic wellbeing approach.
  • PX Policies: Consult with employees and leaders, providing strategic PX policy guidance & interpretation when/where appropriate.
  • Employee Champion: Support our overall employee experience and be a positive change agent. (Heart Start, Engagement, Goodway Honors)
  • Support overall PX strategy through effective support and execution of functional objectives.
  • Diversity, Inclusion & Belonging Program Manager: Partner with Associate Generalist and PXBPs to manage the RISE program and oversee the DIB Team.
  • HRIS Support: Partner with Associate PX Generalist to manage and maintain Goodway’s HRIS system. Keep all employee files up to date, run reports, and provide training and support for employees and managers using the HRIS.
  • Partnership (PXBP): Be a trusted partner and coach to people leaders and employees (as needed), providing proactive support and acting as a connector between PX and the business. Understanding business needs (and realities) and bringing insights back to the team to make recommendations for our programs. This may include On-Track support, development support, consultancy, and more.
