AP Capital is a global hedge fund, which trades across equities, ETFs, derivatives, fixed income and others with more than 500m USD assets under management.
We are seeking a highly skilled Python Developer to join our Canadian development team. This pivotal role involves contributing to the enhancement of our middle office platform. The selected candidate will enjoy a competitive salary, bonus potential, and a comprehensive benefits package.
Responsibilities:
- Design, analyze, and engage in the development of new systems.
- Enhance and maintain features within the existing AP middle office system.
- Manage the onboarding process for new exchanges and brokers.
- Conduct both automatic and manual reconciliation of reports and statements with external exchanges and brokers.
- Collaborate with Business Units (BUs) to define system requirements.
- Participate in daily business operations and support activities.
Skills requested:
- Strong sense of responsibility, attention to detail, and ability to quickly assimilate new information.
- Effective communication skills.
- Proficiency in Python with the capability to process data efficiently.
- Experience with SQL and relational databases.
- Comfortable working within a Linux environment and troubleshooting issues.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data processing and report generation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of three years’ relevant experience.
- Knowledge of investment banking is an asset.
- Prior experience with bank middle office systems, data reconciliation, or operations within trading or product control is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in additional programming languages such as Node.js or Java is advantageous.
- Certifications in financial or investment fields are highly valued.
