Description:
Your Opportunity as QA Analyst
The Analyst supports the plant’s continuous improvement efforts in operational excellence with an emphasis on quality and food safety. Responsible for accurate and complete quality and production documentation, reporting and analysis. Supports Proficy implementation in all operational areas. Requires ability to flex between functional areas as needed for back-up and support.

Work Arrangements: 100% on-site
In this role you will:
- Ability to become the plant Proficy implementation specialist with the goal of the integration of operational data collection for analysis.
- Positively influence the processing quality and production teams to continuously improve existing Quality, HACCP/Food Safety, Food Defense, and Sanitation programs to assure compliance of facility, equipment, and plant practices to Smucker’s QA Key Elements and Regulatory requirements.
- Reviews, maintains, and promotes excellence in records of finished goods testing results, procedures, and monitoring activities.
- Completes daily production reporting including documentation review and corrective action.
- Collects, analyzes, and utilizes data to design and execute loss elimination processes.
- Supports the compilation of monthly scorecard metrics for Internal audits, GMPs, SSOPs, Pest Control, Master Sanitation, etc.
- Supports the GMP, Sanitation, Quality, and HACCP training program for full time employees.
- Supports startup of new equipment and capital projects (i.e., documentation, SOPs, Proficy integration)
- Ability to create and/or update clear work procedures and instructions.
- Ability to understand and oversee plant quality systems including but not limited to; GMP’s, traceability, manifesting, sanitation, SDS Management, and wastewater management.
- Supports the hold/release programs for finished goods and raw materials.
- Assists the QA Manager in all internal and external quality and regulatory audits, maintains records and programs in an audit ready state
- Supports SQMS and is a Key Element Owner for quality and/or safety key elements.
- Salary Range = $57,000 - $81,400

Minimum Requirements:
- Associate degree: bachelor’s degree is highly preferred
- Experience in food manufacturing, food science, QC/QA, or co-op or internship
- Microsoft Office applications
