ABOUT CASCADE:

Cascade is a fintech startup backed by Canadian and US investors that empowers companies to grow by democratizing access to institutional debt. We are building tools that modernize how companies raise and manage debt, lowering the barriers to entry to the $7 trillion specialty finance and alternative credit market for companies around the world. Founded just last year, we are gearing up for our next phase of technical development and are seeking a talented QA Automation Engineer to contribute to our mission.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • 5+ years of experience in QA automation or related roles.
  • Proficiency in Java and Selenium for test automation.
  • Experience with manual testing of web applications and ensuring data correctness.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD automation tools such as GitHub Actions.
  • Strong understanding of relational SQL and NoSQL databases.
  • Experience with ETL technologies and data pipelines.
  • Ability to develop APIs and integrate with 3rd party APIs.
  • Bonus: Experience in fintech, SaaS, or credit analysis.

Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE:

As a QA Automation Engineer at Cascade, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our pioneering platform in the debt infrastructure space. You will leverage your experience in manual testing of web applications and data correctness to automate testing processes progressively. This role requires understanding the intricacies of private debt and how data is manipulated from various customer data sources. You’ll work closely with our development team to automate a significant portion of manual checks on our web application front-end, ensuring seamless functionality and data accuracy.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Conduct manual testing of web applications to ensure functionality and data correctness.
  • Collaborate with the development team to understand data manipulation processes from various customer data sources.
  • Develop and implement automated testing frameworks using Java, Selenium, and other relevant technologies.
  • Automate a significant portion of manual checks on our web application front-end to increase testing efficiency and accuracy.
  • Work on understanding how private debt works and how data is manipulated from various customer data sources.
  • Ensure the reliability and correctness of data ingests by monitoring and alerting across our data pipelines.
  • Translate business goals and stakeholder requirements into automated test cases and scripts.
  • Continuously improve testing processes and methodologies to enhance product quality and reliability.
