We are seeking a QA Automation Engineer to join our Technology team on a 3-month contract.
About the Role
As a QA Automation Engineer you will be joining a passionate development squad who are constantly looking at innovative ways to evolve and further improve existing processes and systems.

As a QA Automation Engineer you will:

• Plan, prioritize, design, write test, and report on your automation.
• Use automated checks to speed up quality feedback - Automating the right tests at the right time by ensuring tests run in build pipelines.
• Be involved in Test planning, test strategy, test management and setting up QA processes for desktop and web applications.
• Support our developers with designing and implementing tests, debugging, defining corrective actions and conducting manual testing
• Be a Stickler for process, self-motivating and self-identifying problem areas in the current software that needs attention or process changes to improve the quality of the application and subsequently communicating those changes to the wider team.
• Monitor all stages of software development to identify and resolve system malfunctions to meet quality standards.
• Conduct Manual testing where required.

About You
We are seeking a passionate, detail oriented and experienced quality assurance (QA) Automation engineer who has excellent communication, problem solving and analytical skills.

You will also have:

• 2+ years of experience with a variety of different testing techniques such as UI Testing, Automated Testing, Test Driven Development Strategies
• Experience in QA methodology
• Experience writing automated tests using Tosca and Cypress
• Automated Integration testing experience
• Some knowledge of GitHub Actions to understand how our pipelines work
• Familiarity with SQL is a strong plus, experience with running DB queries and being able to analyse results is highly regarded,
• Ability to document and troubleshoot errors with deployments on Windows.
• Experience in an Agile environment.
• Experience working with peripheral devices such as EFT Pinpads, register printers is highly desirable
• Experience working with payment processing, banking, finance, reporting is highly desirable.
• Experience Testing POS systems.
• Experience Testing super resilient desktop applications in a hybrid environment (integration with cloud systems)
