Our client within the Mechanical Engineering industry is seeking a QA Inspector to join their team in Germiston
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or certification in mechanical engineering or related field preferred.
- Proven experience as a QA inspector or similar role in the mechanical engineering industry.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical inspection techniques and quality control principles.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
- Familiarity with precision measuring tools and testing equipment.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Familiarity with quality management systems (ISO 9001, AS9100, etc.) is a plus
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough inspections of mechanical components, equipment, and systems to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
- Perform visual, dimensional, and functional inspections of incoming materials and finished products.
- Utilize precision measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to verify product dimensions and tolerances.
- Document inspection results accurately and maintain detailed records of quality assessments.
- Identify and report non-conformities or deviations from quality standards to relevant stakeholders.
- Collaborate with production teams to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions.
- Participate in the development and improvement of quality control processes and procedures.
- Adhere to safety protocols and quality assurance guidelines at all times.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues and management regarding quality-related matters.
