Our client within the Mechanical Engineering industry is seeking a QA Inspector to join their team in Germiston

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or certification in mechanical engineering or related field preferred.
  • Proven experience as a QA inspector or similar role in the mechanical engineering industry.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical inspection techniques and quality control principles.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Familiarity with precision measuring tools and testing equipment.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Familiarity with quality management systems (ISO 9001, AS9100, etc.) is a plus

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough inspections of mechanical components, equipment, and systems to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
  • Perform visual, dimensional, and functional inspections of incoming materials and finished products.
  • Utilize precision measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to verify product dimensions and tolerances.
  • Document inspection results accurately and maintain detailed records of quality assessments.
  • Identify and report non-conformities or deviations from quality standards to relevant stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with production teams to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Participate in the development and improvement of quality control processes and procedures.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and quality assurance guidelines at all times.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and management regarding quality-related matters.
