Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE

As the Quality Assurance Manager for Hubbards, is to ensure it achieves compliance through implementation of Quality Management System and Customer requirement. Manage the day-to-day food safety and quality function to ensure compliance for products and processes.

In order to make this happen, your responsibilities will include but not limited to:

  • Being an influential and effective leader on site, working with the Site Leadership team, Team Leaders, and wider team to develop a positive Quality Culture.
  • Develop best practice in all aspects of food safety, quality and compliance that is integrated with people and processes to meet GMP standards.
  • Lead the implementation and maintenance of all QA systems (in line with the business unit structure) including internal audits, pest control programme, process control, traceability, GMP, calibration, quality investigations, non-conformance, and corrective and preventative actions.
  • Ensure all product meets company, customer, and legal requirements/ specifications.
  • Ensure complaints targets are met or exceeded. Includes have a CPMUS reduction plan as per the company objectives.
  • Manage the cost of non-quality on site, showing a reduction in costs associated with the production of poor-quality product.
  • Oversee the management of all non-conformities, gathering the corrective and/preventative data to support the necessary improvement requirements.
  • Develop policy and drive appropriate management strategies to proactively manage product quality, food safety and legislative compliance risk areas within the company.

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role, preferably in a complex manufacturing or food processing environment.
  • Proven knowledge and experience of food manufacturing processes, food safety systems, HACCP, BRC, SQF, RMP and GMP standards and customer requirements such as Woolworths & Coles.
  • Must have experience in management and strong leadership.
  • Has proven history of collaboratively rolling out successful improvement initiatives with cross functional departments.
  • Interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, particularly for building and maintaining relationships across, and coordinating activities between multiple departments across the business.
  • Objectively solve problems through root cause analysis.
  • Positive mindset with continuous improvement skills.
