Description:

OVERVIEW

The QA Manager will oversee and manage the quality assurance processes across our portfolio of ~20 games. The role involves strategic planning and execution of testing protocols to ensure game quality and performance. The QA Manager will also provide leadership and direction to the lead QA personnel, facilitating a collaborative and efficient testing environment.

Responsibilities:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and manage QA timelines and processes for all game projects, ensuring efficient workflows and high-quality outcomes.
  • Coordinate with project managers and development teams to align QA processes with overall production schedules.
  • Lead, mentor, and support QA Leads, fostering an environment of continuous improvement and professional growth.
  • Oversee the creation and implementation of test plans, ensuring comprehensive coverage of all game features and systems.
  • Monitor the progress and effectiveness of testing activities, making adjustments to strategies and resources as necessary.
  • Communicate clearly with the development and production teams to ensure timely resolution of issues and adherence to quality standards.
  • Analyze QA metrics and feedback to inform process improvements and report on QA status to stakeholders.
  • Manage the QA budget, including resource allocation and tool acquisition, to maximize efficiency and effectiveness of the testing team.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in QA methodologies, incorporating best practices into the team’s activities.
  • Conduct regular meetings with QA Leads to review progress, address challenges, and plan for upcoming testing needs.
  • Enforce quality of releases via QA sign off.
  • Managing external QA

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE ROLE

  • Significant experience in a QA leadership role within the video game industry, with a track record of successful project delivery.
  • Strong understanding of the game development lifecycle and the specific testing needs at each stage.
  • Proven management skills with the ability to oversee multiple projects and lead QA personnel effectively.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the capability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently.
  • Proficient in QA tools and software, with an aptitude for learning new technologies quickly.
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely
