QA Piping Inspector (12 months, CSWIP 3.1)

JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES

• To ensure that the construction quality is in accordance with the approved Project Quality Plan.
• To read understand and implement project-related ITP, Procedures, Specification requirements
• To Review Documents and Drawings as per specification
• To Ensure weld numbers/Piece mark numbers in QCS populating
• To Ensure Material verification against MSR, cutting plan and MV Report
• To Verify and ensure the cutting plan against the actual cutting of material.
• To perform fit-up inspection, welding and dimensional inspection against drawing/WPS
• To perform visual inspection and maintain the reports.
• To ensure inspectors surveillance reports/ inspection reports are in place
• To ensure outstanding NDE were performed and follow up with the NDE team
• To maintain latest drawings/E12/Release note folders properly
• To raise QAI/NCR if any non-compliance observed NDE %ge coverage monitoring and maintaining the register as per project requirement.
• Attend daily toolbox meetings in time
• Participating in weekly HSE safety briefings and delivering talk
• Piping Line walk/Testing/Reinstatement
• Review piping pressure test pack and compiling of weld and material summary reports.
• Monitoring and maintaining record of the inspection status of piping test packs
• Co-ordinate with Notifying body for site inspection PED approval
• Final document compilation and submission and get client/surveyor acceptance.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

• Knowledgeable in reading, and understanding engineering drawings and specification requirements.
• Understand piping fabrication/installation inspection and testing requirements.
• Knowledgeable in welding inspection and in quality assurance and quality control systems.
• Familiar with basic conventional NDT methods.
• Computer literate and familiar in using basic Microsoft Office programs

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree/diploma in engineering
• and with a valid welding inspection certificate such as IWI, CSWIP 3.1 or API 570 Piping Inspector

• To inspect the job as per approved procedures, client’s specification, applicable code, standards & approved drawings.
• To ensure the quality of inspected items meets project requirements and standards.
• To ensure HSE requirements are all in place at all time and ensure compliance to HSE regulations and requirements.
