Description:

This position will begin as a hybrid QA technician and RTE/Rollstock packaging, with the position expanding towards QA as the need arises. Develop your CAREER with VG Meats!

REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Secondary School Diploma or equivalent
  • Preference will be given to those with at least a college degree in food technology or a similar field.
  • Previous experience is an asset but does not required
  • Alignment with VG Meats’ values, mission, and organizational strategy
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work and move in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
  • Excellent organization and communication skills

Wage Range: $17-18/hr.

Responsibilities:

  • Routine monitoring and data collection to support FSQA objectives
  • Performing Warner-Bratzler shear force testing and image analysis for VG Meats’ tenderness testing program
  • Performing chemical concentration testing
  • Evaluating safety and quality objectives in returned products
  • Maintaining carcass traceability system
  • Organize, weigh, package, label products, and fulfil orders.
  • Prepare skids and outgoing orders in preparation for deliveries and error-free shipments.
  • Feed and unload processing machines and assist machine operators with their duties.
  • Other duties as assigned
