QC Analyst Microbiology/Chemistry - 12 month FTC

JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

Our site in Drogheda is currently looking for a QC Analyst for our Microbiology/Chemistry laboratories.
Working within the Quality Organisation supporting the day-to-day production of BD’s pre-filled syringe product (Flush) through detailed technical analysis and the provision of timely, robust data.

• Testing of finished product.
• Environmental Monitoring - performing and trending.
• Bioburden testing of components and solutions.
• Endotoxin Testing.
• Chemistry Testing including pH, Assay, UV, Sub visible, Heavy Metals, Nitrates, TOC, Conductivity, Salt testing, Hardness, Chloride and Chlorine.
• Reagent Preparation.
• Stock Taking and Control.
• Perform Daily, Monthly calibration of equipment.
• Use of lab autoclave and oven, correct completion of paperwork.
• Validation of lab equipment.
• Support site steriliser requalifications.
• Support the requalification of the clean rooms.
• Review and trending of test data.
• Reporting and root cause investigation of out of specification results as they arise.
• Adhere to site SOPs and the principles of Good Manufacturing Practice.
• Sterility Assurance - implementing the principles of good sterility assurance.
• Training of fellow technicians and operators as required.
• Introduce Process improvements and create, update and review SOPs for the lab and the site where applicable.
