Our client is a biopharmaceutical company engaged in the development of innovative cancer immunotherapy and they are immediately looking for a QC Lab Technician – Sample Management (40hours, morning- and evening shifts, Monday-Sunday) in Hoofddorp.
The client is seeking MBO/BSc (no MSc) candidates residing in the area of Hoofddorp or owning your own transport because working hours make it difficult to travel by public transport.
You must be able to be on-site at 7AM, and be able to stay until Midnight.
The working hours are
Mornings: 7:0016:00 / Evenings: 15:00-00:00.
Shift Pattern: 4 days morning shift, 2 days off, 4 days evening shift, 2 days off, repeat.

All applicants MUST have full legal authorization to work in the EU region independently and be fluent in both spoken and written English language.
What do we offer
Temporary agency contract for 6-12 months via Kelly for 40 hours with possible extension via Kelly or conversion to client’s contract; there will be a conversion bonus of € 4.000,- gross if converted successfully to a FTE client contract
Start date: 1 December 2023
Salary depending on experience: between € 3.100-€ 3.300 gross per month based on 40 hours (excluding 8,33% holiday allowance, excluding shift allowance of 27,78%)
Travel reimbursement based on OV or € 0,23 per KM with a max. 100KM per day up to a max. € 410,- per month

The role
As QC Technician – Sample Management you’ll be joining a team in which people of all backgrounds and experiences are respected. Working together focused on saving lives, by finding the cure for cancer, is a daily activity.
You will ensure support of high quality for Quality Control and operations while ensuring compliance of protocols, GXP and safety regulations. Due to the nature of the treatment, this role requires high level of proficiency and ownership of the process, with the highest skill of aseptic techniques and precision.
The department
QC Sample management is a unit within the QC Services Department. QC Services is a service unit providing services involving Data management, LIMS support, sample management, material management of the Laboratories, Incoming Goods sample management and laboratory equipment lifecycle management. The team is diverse, enthusiastic, and hard working.

Responsibilities

• Receive of QC samples and EM plates.
• Processing QC samples (Centrifuge, aliquot by pipetting).
• Distribution of QC samples to QC labs.
• Ship samples off site for testing.
• Develop, revise, and review procedures.
• Perform inventory management of lab supplies and materials.
• Housekeeping of sample management area.
• Review of logbooks, sample submission forms and other relevant QCSM documents.
• Perform the Aph accession.
• Perform routine maintenance of lab equipment and lab areas.
• Additional duties as assigned.

Requirements
The ideal candidate for this position, has a hands-on mentality and thrives in a fast-paced environment. At sample management a strong sense of organization is required to ensure that the sample flow is not compromised. The ideal candidate must be willing to work in shifts and overtime when needed. Basic laboratory techniques are required and preferable QC experience. The QC Service department finds team spirit important and therefore also open to help other teams within QC.

EDUCATION:

• Secondary Laboratory Education (MLO)

KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• Understanding of aseptic techniques
• 3 years of QC experience in a technical role in the biotech and/or Pharmaceutical Industry.
• Knowledge of GMP, GDP and SOP’s.
• Proficiency in Microsoft office applications
• Verbal communication skills and able to read in English are essential in this collaborative work environment.

PREFERRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

• Sample management experience.
• Sample shipment experience.
• Assisting with investigations
• Car Drivers preferred due to Shift Times - Candidates MUST be able to be on site at 7am, and be able to stay until Midnight.
