We are currently sourcing a QC Site Material Inspector with expertise in the Oil and Energy, Power Plants sectors for a pivotal project based in Germany.
This role is central to ensuring the quality and compliance of materials used in the conversion of a coal-based plant to a Power Station Plant.
The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of German and English languages and have a robust background in quality control within relevant industries.
Tasks
WORK EXPERIENCE:
- A minimum of 8-10 years in quality assurance and control, with at least 5 years in quality management on construction projects.
- Prior experience within the Oil and Energy, Power Plant sectors, especially in projects involving significant material inspection and quality control activities.
PROFESSIONAL SKILLS:
- Comprehensive understanding of construction sequences and quality management systems, including ISO 9001 standards.
- Proficient in quality control and inspection activities across multiple disciplines, with the ability to execute and supervise inspections.
- Familiarity with industry standards (e.g., ASTM, ASME, ACI, UPC, AWS) and their application in design, installation, and construction activities.
- Knowledgeable in warehouse procedures for material preservation and safety data sheets for standard and hazardous materials.
- Capable of managing and calibrating complex tools and instruments used in quality-affecting activities.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Internationally recognized qualifications in quality control/quality assurance.
- Business-level proficiency in both German and English is essential for effective communication within the project environment.
- Strong analytical skills, with an eye for detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
This role is based exclusively on-site in Germany, as part of the project team working on the conversion of a coal-based plant to a Power Station Plant. The position demands strict adherence to safety protocols and the ability to work effectively under project schedules.

Responsibilities:
- Perform on-site inspections and supervise the delivery of materials in accordance with approved Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), ensuring adherence to project specifications, codes, and standards.
- Guarantee the appropriate storage, handling, and preservation of materials by internal teams or subcontractors, aligning with approved procedures and specifications.
- Issue inspection release certificates upon satisfactory completion of all inspections, tests, and compliance with manufacturing documentation.
- Manage materials receipt reports, non-conformance reports, and damage reports, implementing corrective actions as necessary.
- Collaborate closely with the site QA/QC Manager to implement the Material Management System effectively on-site.
