DISCOVER IMPACTFUL WORK:

This is an exciting career opportunity to work in a pH electrode manufacturing facility! We are seeking a QC Technician responsible for performing chemical and physical tests according to established procedures.

A Day in the Life:

  • Visually inspect the electrodes delivered from the manufacturing area to quality control (QC) to make sure it has no physical defects.
  • Use pH meters, multimeters, high resistance meters, rulers, calipers, thermometers, and any other measuring instrument required to inspect product quality.
  • Inspect the physical and chemical quality of all products delivered to either subassembly or finished product according to the appropriate Work Instructions and specifications.
  • Record inspection data in forms and electronic spreadsheets.
  • Keep the inspection equipment and your work area clean and organized.
  • Perform your work efficiently and safely.
  • Install the pre-packing parts to the electrodes with chemical test prior to shipment.
  • Detect and report any quality situations that interfere with the functionalities and specifications of the electrodes.

EDUCATION

  • High school diploma or GED required.

EXPERIENCE

  • Experience working in quality or manufacturing areas preferred.
  • Oral and written knowledge in Spanish and English.
  • Computer knowledge and use of applications such as MS Excel.
  • Practical knowledge of units of measurement and basic mathematical skills.
  • Basic arithmetic skills.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Use of Safety Personal Protection Equipment is required while the assigned tasks are carried out, and they must be trained and able to follow the safety procedures.
  • Ability to work with solutions and/or chemicals.
  • Willing to work overtime in the short term notice, this may include but is not limited to weekends.
  • Ability to pay close attention to detail and multiple tasks.
  • Ability to accurately follow processes and procedures.
  • Lifting objects up to 40 pounds.
  • Visual acuity (20/20) is require
