Description:
We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a QC Technician, II at Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the detailed production of premier products.
Responsibilities:
- Implement and maintain the effectiveness of the quality system
- Perform in-process quality inspections during manufacturing to determine compliance with approved requirements
- Identify and address quality defects in a timely manner to prevent repeated failures
- Record in-process quality inspections and track the number of defects identified
- Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to find areas for ongoing improvement.
- Partner with manufacturing personnel for line opening and closing activities
- Document nonconformances in the quality system and participate in the DR/CAPA system
- Assist in revising departmental processes to drive continual improvement
- Adjust work schedules as required to support changes in the manufacturing schedule
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- High School graduate or equivalent with 3-5 years of confirmed experience in Quality Assurance or Quality Control preferred. Equivalent experience will also be considered.
- Experience and knowledge of ISO 13485 and 21 CFR 820 preferred
- Familiarity with inspection principles and concepts
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to function in a team environment and receive mentorship with minimal supervision
- Attentive to details and capable of managing multiple tasks
- Basic knowledge of computer applications required
