Description:
PRIMARY OBJECTIVES OF THE POSITION
This role supports material, process and product quality testing activities by preparing equipment and materials and assisting in the execution of tests to identify raw materials, processes and products that do not meet company requirements. The key scope includes:
- conducts the laboratory tests to identify lapses in the production lines’ conformance to food safety and hygiene standards.
- assists in the management of the Quality Control (QC) Laboratory by performing routine monitoring and maintenance of laboratory infrastructure and equipment, recording laboratory data and assisting in preparing the laboratory for audits.
REQUIRED SKILL
- ITE, Diploma or equivalent qualification in Food Science or related discipline.
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Ability to work with a multidisciplinary team
- Self-motivated
Responsibilities:
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare samples, standards and solutions for quality check.
- Perform routine quality checks on raw materials, intermediates and products according to method specified by the company.
- Document and report test results.
- Perform in-process QC checks at production lines.
- Maintain inventory of all retained samples collected. Retrieve info and/or sample as and when required for comparison / verification.
- Perform routine calibration and maintenance of QC Laboratory equipment.
- Assist in monitoring and inspecting laboratory infrastructure, equipment and utilities.
- Assist in preparing the QC Laboratory for audits.
- Assist in identifying out-of-specification, deviations and quality problems of raw materials and products.
- Perform any other ad-hoc duties assigned.
