Job Description
Job responsibilities:
a) Support the QHSSE Manager who is the Company Representative for Quality, Health, Safety, Security and Environment.
b) Determine, collect and analyze appropriate data to demonstrate the continuing suitability and effectiveness of the IMS, reporting results to the QHSSE Manager to identify and evaluate opportunities for improvement and the need for change.
c) Ensuring that there are systems in place and implemented to continuously improve the effectiveness of the IMS.
d) Monitor progress against the QHSSE Improvement Plan.
e) Monitor objectives and associated targets in line with the QHSSE policy statements.
f) Attendance as required at external audits, delivering evidence of implementation and effectiveness of corrective actions within required timescales.
g) Ensure the health, safety and welfare of employees and contractors is not compromised by promoting establishment and monitoring adherence to safe working practices and conditions.
h) Ensure corrective, preventive and improvement actions are taken without undue delay to eliminate detected or potential non conformities and their causes. Ensure follow up activities, including verification of effectiveness is undertaken in a timely manner.
i) Periodically review the Non conformity reports register and ensure effective corrective action is being taken.
j) Ensure adequate recording, investigation and handling of incidents and near misses including overseeing adequate management and recording of resulting corrective actions.
k) Assist with compilation and review of Risk Assessments.
l) Inspect new / unusual processes for potential hazards.
m) Perform regular inspections of working areas and set an example for other staff for adherence to the Management System.
Qualifications & experience:
a) Formal qualification in Safety discipline or adequate experience in Safety field e.g. NEBOSH (International) Diploma, or equivalent
Recognized Internal / Lead Auditor qualification.
b) Broad Knowledge of ISO9001, ISO14001 and OHSAS 18001 with demonstrable experience of auditing to them.
c) Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar field
d) Experience in oil & gas offshore industry
e) Conversant with software in use.
f) English language.
